Anotation: The course equips students following the Computer Systems and Technologies major with the knowledge required for the design and use of peripheral devices and systems in computer engineering. The course focuses on the various types of modern peripheral devices, such as plotters, digitizers, interactive manipulators, printers, scanners, cameras, graphic stations and displays, programming control languages and the exchange interfaces in computer facilities. The basic modules of the course are: CAD/ CAM systems; Interfaces; Displays, Data Input Devices; Plotters; Printers; The course is preceded by the courses in Digital Circuits, Analysis and Synthesis of Logic Circuits, Microprocessors and also draws on the courses in Computer Organization, Computer Networks and Computer Architectures. To master the course contents, students need knowledge in the area of digital, microprocessor, conversion and analogue equipment. The course provides part of the hardware training for students following the Computer Systems and Technologies major.
