Anotation: This course Human-Computer Interaction is aiming to present the basic principles, approaches and techniques by designing the human-computer interface in courseware development. Special emphasis is built on the design and usability testing methods by the development and evaluation of the prototypes and the psychological aspects of HCI design from instructional point of view. Practical assignments, problem solving tasks and self assessment questions are included as supporting tools for the tutor-student interactions.
The course is based on one textbook and some additional learning materials that are all developed by people who are experts in HCI and in developing teaching materials. There is a rich variety of exercises, illustrations and examples in the textbook to support the texts and to bring the subjects to life, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Also, the interviews in the book with leading figures in the field serve to convey the sense of excitement and mission which pervades the subject.
After completion the course, the student should be able to:
  - Understand the influence of the human factors on the interface design and development of educational and training application software;
  - Use the methods and the techniques for user-centered design, and task analysis-based structural design of the interactions;
