| Anotation: |
The aim of the course "Computer organization" is to introduce the students to the arithmetic and algorithmic foundations of the computers and mostly to the structure and the way of operating of the processor. The Arithmetic and logic unit (ALU), the Control unit, the Registers, the CACHE Memory, the Primary storage and the structure of the interrupt system are considered. Some contemporary RISC and RISC/CISC processors are analysed.
The course is related to the following courses: Analysis and synthesis of logical diagrams, Digital electronics, Computer peripherals, Computer architecture, Reliability and diagnostics of computer systems, Microprocessor technology, Single-chip microcomputers and Specialized microprocessor systems. |
