The applications for databases related to the area of the data mining provide possibility on the basis of existing data accumulated in result from the activities of an organization to obtain information about important relationships and to discover interesting trends; to analyze the data with the purpose of finding characteristic of them patterns, rules, and hidden relationships between the different attributes. The developed methods and algorithms for exploring the dependencies between attributes in databases, which involve applying the OLAP (online analytical processing) operations, are useful for supporting the decision-making process. |
