Title:
Computer system for forest fires prognostication and recognition the spreading of the fire
Abstract:
The FireRec is an idea for a project dedicated to the forest regions in Europe. Those open areas are sometimes hard to reach and can’t be saved if appropriate actions haven’t been taken before. The wild fires can occur and dynamically spread burning into ash everything on its roads.
That is why the idea has as a first step a satellite observation by scanning the earth surface to the regions in danger. This is the fastest way to spot on time a fire in progress. The method is using visualization with colored output and those signals are entering into dispatcher units. Each of those units will be connected by wireless networks with the nearest weather forecast stations working in the area. This will guarantee that the weather forecast information is going to be as new as possible.
That incoming data is going to enter in dynamic data base with already stored parameters in it, which are not changeable like (relief, rivers, lakes, type of the vegetable life of the region). Here the computer system has to be able to do a prediction of the fire behavior by using mathematical models dedicated to the spread of forest fires.
The final output of the system has to be an animated picture of the fire behavior. The fire-brigade units are the one, who can take the most of such computer based system. On social point of view the system will reduce the economical and ecological damages, which a wild fire can cause.
