Abstract:  
The Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) are software systems, which apply Artificial Intelligence methods and tools, to help the human being to learn. The present PhD thesis deals most generally with the design and implementation of ITS for second language learning, which integrate linguistic resources and language technologies.
